ONLINE EVENTS
In addition to organising design conferences in-person, Giorgia has also organised online conferences, hosted a variety of short webinars, and given talks online.
The events organised include:
• DEI & Design Program (2024): a 4-week course on the intersection of DEI & Design, divided into 4 modules: Introduction, Designing for Neurodiversity, Designing for Gender diversity, and Designing for Cultural diversity
• DEI & Design Masterclass​ (2023): a one-day event on the intersection of DEI & Design focusing on identifying bias, and designing for physical & physiological diversity, social & lifestyle diversity, and cognitive diversity
• Design Matters Pop-up​ (2022): a one-day event on the intersection of Behavioural Design and Sustainability linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the UN
The events hosted include:
• Design Debate Club (2024) a 1.5 hour debate on the pros and cons of democratising design
• Design Talks & Networking | Copenhagen (2023) a 1 hour Zoom event introducing the main conference themes and 3 lightning talks
• People, planet and design (2022) in collaboration with Zalando and What Design Can Do
• A taste of Design Matters 22 | 3 themes, 3 talks (2022) a 1 hour Zoom event introducing the main conference themes and 3 lightning talks
The online talks given include:
• Digi-Art Training Programme (2023): Building Communities and Engaging Audiences in the Digital Art Realm
• Working in the creative industry in Copenhagen (2023) - talk for a school
