Giorgia is an interdisciplinary content & speaker curator, events manager, brand & communications strategist, working in the digital design industry.  She organises international events revolving around digital design at Design Matters, where she curates speakers, talks, workshops, and the communication and social media strategy. She is also the initiator and editor of the company's online magazine, she occasionally designs visual materials and host online events. Previously, she worked as Growth Marketing Assistant at Airtame - a Copenhagen-based tech company -, as Marketing & Communication at Projekt6 - an organisation working to promote sexual health and knowledge - in Lund, Sweden, and as Product and Administration Executive at the luxury travel agency Azure Collection, in Chester, UK.  

In her free time she likes sculpting clay to create chess sets and even
video games. Some things she likes: learning about new cultures; befriending animals; vibrant outfits; perfumes (even making them); frog content; taking care of her British Shorthair cat.

Originally from Venice, Italy, she was an exchange student in Aotearoa New Zealand and China, and lived in the UK and Sweden before moving to Denmark. She holds a Bachelor's in Japanese Studies from Ca' Foscari University of Venice and a Master's in Management from Lund University.

GLOBAL DESIGN CONFERENCES

Giorgia has been organising design conferences since 2019. Her focus revolves around the conferences in Copenhagen and Tokyo, but in 2023 she also contributed to the conferences in Mexico City and Lagos.

Giorgia has organised online events for Design Matters on a variety of topics, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Sustainability, and Behavioural Design. She also hosted short online events aiming at promoting the conferences.

Giorgia has written more than a hundred pieces and interview articles about design, tech, and culture. Some of her pieces have also been translated to Japanese. VIDEO GAME

Pursuing her passion for clay sculpting, Giorgia co-designed the video game Nom Nom Hippo with game programmer Andy Touch. She modelled all the art and worked on the stop motion animations of the game.

The game was created in 48 hours for the Global Game Jam 2024 hosted in Copenhagen by LEGO.

WINNER: CONDOM WRAPPER DESIGN CONTEST

ONE is the world's largest condom manufacturer and is famous for its playful round wrappers. Users can take part in ONE's Condom Wrapper Design Contests; the winner gets a cash prize, plus a year's supply of condoms featuring their art, and chooses the health org to which ONE will donate condoms to. Giorgia took part in the contest and won 5 times (and no, she didn't use all of her 5 years' supply of condoms).
